Welcome to Black River Worm Farm

Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?

We are located in the northwest near Olympia, Washington. We began our business in the fall of 2008 with a goal of helping others go green by composting with red worms, also known as vermicomposting.

Red worms can eat half their body weight every day and can greatly reduce the amount of garbage that would otherwise end up in a landfill. They will consume your kitchen scraps, newspaper, cardboard, junk mail, yard waste and much more, turning them all into a rich organic fertilizer. These worm castings are "nature's perfect fertilizer". People are becoming more concerned than ever on how all the synthetic chemicals around us are affecting the environment and ourselves. Castings may be used as a soil amendment or steeped into a liquid fertilizer. There is no odor, just an earthy smell, and being organic they are safe around children and pets.

Whether you would like to start your own vermicomposting, or want the benefits of the castings without the worms, we offer a variety of products to fit your needs. Please browse our site and feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Thanks for visiting!
